Nongnooch Garden Pattaya Hosts Grand New Year Alms-Giving Ceremony with 19 Monks from 9 Temples and 9 Elephants for Auspicious Blessings
On January 1, 2025, at 7:00 AM, Mr. Kampon Tanasacha, President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, Ms. Nantana Tanasacha, Executive Committee Member, along with the management team, staff, tourists, and nine intelligent elephants, participated in an alms-giving ceremony in accordance with traditional customs to mark the New Year of 2025.
Nongnooch Garden Pattaya organizes this New Year alms-giving ceremony annually. On the first day of the year, 19 monks from 9 temples receive alms, followed by a water blessing ritual performed by the monks for the participants, including the nine elephants. This event is held to bring blessings and good fortune to everyone and their families.
This year, Nongnooch Garden Pattaya also offers other attractions for visitors, such as paying respects to Buddha statues from 9 temples, worshiping the Buddha of one’s birth day, paying homage to Brahma, Ganesha, Guan Yin, and Phra Sangkajai, and visiting a museum featuring ancient Buddha statues that are hundreds of years old. These activities are designed to provide visitors with a meaningful and auspicious start to the New Year or to enjoy during the long holiday season. The garden is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
