The Minister of Tourism and Sports Opens the "TAT Universal Design Tour to Promote Health Tourism and Tourism for All Bangkok-Pattaya" Route at Nongnooch Garden Pattaya.
At the Fuangfah Conference Room, Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, Chonburi Province, Mr. Sermsak Pongpanich, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, inaugurated the "TAT Universal Design Tour to Promote Health Tourism and Tourism for All Bangkok-Pattaya" project. The event was attended by distinguished guests such as Mr. Amnat Charoensri, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province; Mr. Somchai Chomphunoi, Director of the Eastern Region, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT); Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City; Mr. Krisana Lalai, President of the Foundation, and representatives from the Human Wheelchair Network Ambassadors for Universal Design. The event was warmly welcomed by Mr. Kampon Tansacha, President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya.
The "TAT Universal Design Tour to Promote Health Tourism and Tourism for All Bangkok-Pattaya" project, organized by the Foundation for Universal Design and Tourism for All in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Human Wheelchair Network Ambassadors for Universal Design, is scheduled to take place in Pattaya City and Nongnooch Garden Pattaya from August 27-28. The project aims to extend, expand, and stimulate tourism that is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable for all. The event will also feature the declaration of the "Pattaya for All" pledge.
Following the opening ceremony, the Minister of Tourism and Sports and his delegation toured Nongnooch Garden Pattaya to inspect the facilities that promote universal design for all, including restrooms, ramps, elevators, swimming pools, signage, sightseeing vehicles, and accommodations for the elderly and disabled. The delegation also visited over 60 beautiful gardens and learning centers at Nongnooch Garden Pattaya. Additionally, the garden continues its initiative of offering free entry every Friday to seniors (aged 60 and above), as well as free entry every day for people with disabilities and their companions.
